Startup Track

Startup Track is an incubation program by the Digital Incubation Center (DIC) that supports entrepreneurs and early-stage technology startups that have a market-ready product or prototype. It provides the necessary expertise, services and tools to help these entrepreneurs overcome challenges and make their business successful.

The 2-year program includes two stages of incubation; a Startups Stage that takes a startup from a prototype to a registered business, and a Growth Stage that is focused on business growth. The program objective is to develop viable and sustainable digital startups. The program provides training, access to mentors, office space, networking, industry contacts, and internships. Training is based on individual needs and includes both business and specialized technical training. Successful startups who complete the program have access to potential funding through the Qatar Development Bank and other financial institutions. In addition, the program also connects participants to its investors’ network, and provides tools to assist with successful fundraising.

Any innovative entrepreneur with residency in Qatar can apply, a Qatari partner is not mandatory. Startup Track is seeking innovative startups that serve strategic sectors, such as education, government services, health, transportation, urban planning, environment, financial services, energy, and construction. The program is looking for innovative solutions that utilize emerging technologies such as cloud computing, IOT, big data and analytics, e-commerce, M2M, smart cities, and telecommunications.

A 6-month Launchpad track is available to assist entrepreneurs who required assistance in transforming their ideas into viable business plans. After this they may choose to enter the selection process to join first incubation stage. Existing startups also have the option of joining at the Growth Stage, granting access to support to further grow their business and provide them with the skills needed to make themselves better entrepreneurs and leaders.
