As the FinTech ecosystem in Qatar has witnessed  growth over the last few years, Qatar FinTech Hub has partnered up with Qatar Central Bank (QCB), Qatar Development Bank (QDB), and Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) to bring valuable information on reshaping the future of FinTech, and discuss their approach in supporting the FinTech ecosystem in Qatar.

The Challenges:

Challenge 1:
Driving digital payments, merchant acceptance, and credit
FinTech can innovate on leveraging emerging technologies to enable effective and efficient digital onboarding, issuance, acceptance, and lending to drive financial inclusion.

Challenge 2:
Digitally transforming B2B payments value chain
FinTechs can innovate on digitizing account payables, receivables, point-of-sales lending, working capital loans and supply chain financing for various sectors.

Challenge 3:
Enabling intuitive and frictionless cross-border payments
FinTech can innovate on cost-effective and friction-less solutions for cross-border remittances and payments.

Key challenges the Hackathon aims to solve

  • Driving digital payments, merchant acceptance and credit.
  • Digitally transforming B2B payments value chain.
  • Enabling intuitive and friction-less cross-border payments.

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Participants should not be undergoing incubation / acceleration with another program at the time of QFTH programs (September 20 - December 20).
