Product Development Fund

The Product Development Fund from Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) aims to strengthen the private sector and contribute to the diversification of Qatar’s economy by funding SMEs and startups that develop products and services aligned to the needs of the local market. The program aims to support SMEs and startups in developing innovative products and services.

Applicants may access up to 50% of the cost of their product/service proposal (up to QR1.4m). Qualifying businesses would be private sector SMEs, spin-outs or startups with at least 20% Qatari shareholding. SMEs must have up to 249 employees and not be listed on the stock exchange. The Product Development Fund prioritizes funding for innovations in energy, environment, healthcare and digital solutions. For additional information, please see the program homepage.

*QSTP will not assume ownership of new Intellectual Property before, during or after (unless existing QSTP IP is involved in the project). New IP is always owned by the Awardee only (unless existing QSTP IP is involved in the project).
