Qatar University

Qatar University (QU) conducts high quality research and uses cutting-edge technology for providing services to various local communities and commercial partners. The research priorities of QU reflect the nation’s primary strategic objectives. Hence, sustaining research and innovation at QU is integral to promoting Qatar’s vision to becoming a knowledge-based economy as outlined in the Qatar National Vision 2030 and various other research and developmental strategic plans.

Some of the research programs offered at Qatar University:

1. Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE)

  • It was established in September 2013 as an initiative to support entrepreneurship at the university and community at large
  • CFE is working to link the academic life with business reality through training, incubation, research and consultation
  • CFE's services include delivering training programs to create awareness about the importance of entrepreneurship and to develop individuals' skills to become potential entrepreneurs 

2. KINDI Center for Computing Research

  • Its a framework to foster collaborative and multidisciplinary research, leverage existing local and international partnerships and provide supportive infrastructure
  • KINDI's mission is to serve Qatar and the Qatar University community by promoting quality research programs in the vital area of computer and information sciences and engineering
  • KINDI engages the University community while addressing national research grand challenges and supporting the country’s vision and aspirations
